Is there some restoration work being done, Raphael?
The reason I ask is that the structure in the background, to the right of the clock tower (this perspective) interferes.. somewhat ... with the negative space within frame.
Might have been tempted.. given the clean lines of the silhouetted buildings in the foreground to clone/remove and replace with more of that clear blue sky.
And on the note of the silhouetted buildings.. at their edges, and I could be wrong here ... is some Chromatic Aberration (blue 'fringing').
What f-stop did you employ?
See this discussion thread and quoted comment of Paul Gerritsens' in beanpost811's post at 18/04/09 0:21 ... for some good good information and creative food for thought on the subject of Chromatic Aberration.
That, or the result of over-sharpening things a tad. Maybe?
That said.. and it may sound like I don't enjoy your photo here, that is not the case.
The aforementioned use/presence of negative space in and around the clock tower makes for some very interesting shapes. I quite like that element, as it serves to highlight the clock tower more.
Colour contrasts are good good. And your focus and clarity is good good, as well.
In short..
Nice shot.
And but of course, thank you for sharing this look through your lens with us. :o)
