I took this picture during my Summer vacation to Ocean City MD this year. The specific area is in Assateague Island, Virgina right where wild ponies roam free in the wilderness. Enjoy!

I've always wanted to see the wild ponies, ever since reading Misty of Chincoteague. Beautiful shot, great colors!

Rich - Thanks for sharing this. I've driven down the peninsula on a number of occasions, but never with enough time to stop and Assateague Island with the horses roaming freely.

Just gave this a high score in VB, I know that area and this wild pony / horse looks like he needs a lot of loving. I'm a horse lover and owned my own years ago.

Glad you made it to Assateague while you were down at OC. A lot of people don't go there and they miss out on the beautiful wild horses. A very clean and wonderful shot of him.
