It must be frustrating for the lions to keep watching the zebras all day long, knowing that they can't jump over - especially when they feel hungry. (They are fed only twice a week). Though they are zoo animals the instinct must be there, I suppose.

I like the zebras and the way you captured this with the lions in the background. I guess the instinct to hunt never goes away, but they should be well fed and not hungry i hope. Great shot!

That's a beauty of a shot of the zebras, with lions as an added bonus. I like the contrast of the grass, and the rocks in the background. Excellent post.

How wonderful to have captured all of these great and lovely beasts in one image! The clarity it really fine. Two of them noticed you there I see. Maybe twice a week is all those lions need to eat and their desire for a kill is diminished.

I have heard of seeing spots in front of your eyes, but this is ridiculous. I hate referrees when they make bad calls. Maybe I could feed some of them to the lions.

Great clarity and the whole scene blends so nicely. Excellent Raj.

The Zebra group is really great Raj. But what cruel zoo authorities placing the lions so close. It would be like a traffic policeman following you every time you drove the car! lol

Great capture of the Zebras. I'm assuming there is a large moat seperating the Lions from the Zebras because those wire strands don't appear able to keep out a poodle. :) Not only a fine photogragh Raj, but a fine study in animal behavior. Nice posting in both cases.

Must be a great frustration for the lions indeed Raj. When I was a lion, I would think that every stripe is a giant steak, lol.
Very fine capture my friend.

Amazing! I was curious about the lions when i saw the picture, they do look a little upset that they can't get themselves a zebra steak every now and then :)

Love the Zebras and it's truly is a wonderful capture, I sure can see why the lions would be a little frustrated.
