"Look Mum, no hands!" the young fellow seems to say as he lets himself fall and the indulgent mother looks on. Among all creatures on earth Orangutans are closest to humans genetically. See the young fellow's palm - it looks almost human.

I have no idea why, Raj, but this picture brought to mind THIS SONG. I'm not so sure I agree with it, but it came to mind.
Nice shot of our cousins here, and you're right about the palm on that youngster. I seem to remember a great aunt that had that same look about her...lol....

I was following PJ link as well and like to agree that the 'You Are A Human Animal' song is great indeed. To me it's an appropriate song for you wonderful image Raj. Look at the expressions on the faces of Mom and her youngster. Differs nothing from human expressions. Great post!

Orangs are my absolute favourites Raj from the great alpha males that are huge and look like they are wearing an old,tatty woollen coat to the the tiny young that look like surprised haystacks. All are wonderful and you've caught them perfectly here.
