The Mara is a small animal (see link) here photographed at the zoo in Hamburg. At the zoo they are free to roam the grounds.HERE there is an earlier post of mine showing a Mara mother and child.

So that's a relative of the guinea pig, huh? Looks like it could be related to the kangaroo or wallaby. Very nice shot, Raj. It's kinda cute.

As Lyn said above, it's a very interesting animal Raj. My first impression was that it's a mix between a kangaroo and a huge rabbit. Great that they have room in the Hamburg Zoo to roam the grounds. Very fine image.

Another good shot of the rabbit like rodent. At first I thought it was one of Jungle George's creations. Excellent shot clarity and very informative. We learn so much on this site.
