I think it is a grey heron, I am not sure. I saw it when I took a stroll through the park. The fish in the pond are too big for him/her but probably there are newborns now.
This Image GRABBED my EYE. That's Why I Stopped By.
Thanks For Sharing ! Never argue with an idiot. They drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience
It's your picture, and if you want to call it a grey heron, then you go right ahead. LOL. That's what I would have thought it was too. Whatever it is, it's a beautiful bird. Nice capture.
He looks wonderful, Raj, against all that green background. He's perfectly posed and I can't tell if he's gray or blue. I have yet to even see one of these up close.
Raj,i also think it is a grey heron,it is the kind of heron we have here too.The photo is very lovely,it is good that you were able to take photos of a heron as it is not so easy.
Never have seen a heron on a spot were's no fish to consume for it Raj, so I wouldn't be amazed when it can handle the size of the fish in the pond very well, lol.
It's amazing to me as well that it accepts your presence that close.
Very fine post my friend.
Regards, Cornelius.
He is regal and beautiful! I'm not sure what kind he is~but your heron capture is superb Raj! The details and clarity are juct wonderful and the green really contrasts well with him! :)Ami
nice shot Raj, but if I can get a tad picky on you, the focus isn't terribly sharp and it looks just a tad too green, which isn't helped by the green border. color correction perhaps?
I'm pretty sure it's called a Great Blue Heron in any part of the World Raj.
It sure has the same colors and markings.
The Green surroundings make the pic for sure.
Thanks for sharing.
