Not a beautiful butterfly but a wasp - a pest around here at this time of the year. I had to hypnotize him to take this photo. I didn't want to get stung by him. He flew away after I said "You are awake now" and jumped back.

P.S. Pls see the full screen view.

A nice closeup, Raj. How did ya get close enough to Hypnotize him? I think i'd just wack him in the head and knock him out.

Nice closeup of the yellowjacket/wasp Raj! I just got some photos of them myself recently. I didn't know what it was for sure so went on line. I'm surprised they let me take photos of them and didn't sting me! lol. I have to know how you hypnotized it? That sounds interesting! Thanks! Allen

Nasty looking wasp...I'd soitanly swat it...but I'd get stung ...and since I'm allergic to insect bites/stings...My hand would swell up to something putrid looking (SHEESH)...Nice capture...

---I had to hypnotize him to take this photo---

Raj, you can do some good work now by hypnotizing them all in my hometown, as it's a pest here as well. I'll will blame you however when you'll say 'you are awake now' before leaving'.
Watching it at full screen size had only intensified my 'nightmare', lol. Very good post though.
Regards, Cornelius.
