What a feast for the bee - the fresh dahlias are just beginning to bloom - rather late due to the hard and long winter

I know, I know it is not Friday. The regulation as per paragraph 43 section (b): "Flower images are to be posted on Fridays. Exceptions are Birthday, Anniversary and condolence cards. Violation of the rule may result in the image receiving a low c-index. Continued violation may cause the image to be presented for evaluation to members who are known for their dislike of flower images ...."

Raj - You have my vote for this beautiful photo being an exception to 43-b (and for being guilty of it myself)! The bee must think it is in heaven having landed on this lovely bloom. Very good close up work. Thad

The way I look at it is, that every day someone has a birthday somewhere, so every day is a foofy day. Low C-I's are due to the voters having cataracts, glaucoma or are just plain blind. Excellent Foofilicious and BEE-U-T-Full all around shot, Raj.

I think this one will slide by Exception 43 Bee. Give the voters a little honey and they will follow you anywhere.

Raj, I think the texture and color of the flower is superb, the bee is so well focused. They are just starting around here as well, and I took some pics. just today. My favorite flower.

Great capture of the bee, ditch the horrid flower and I might give this a mediocre score in the VB :D
Very nicely presented with beautiful colours and details. Great closeup.
