This is the pilot station in Hamburg where the harbour pilots on duty wait to assist the captains of the ships arriving or leaving the port of Hamburg.

The image looks as if it is tilting to the right but that is only an optical illusion caused by the land slanting away inwards. The verticals are straight.

Yer either out early..or late evening!

Looking at the slight 'tilt' to the right...I'd say 'Evening' after a few wines!!!...~Chuckles!~

As retired seamen we don't become that nervous if something is tilted to a certain extent (lol), but you're right, Raj, only the verticals can determine this.

Thanks for a wonderful continuation of your series. To me both a very fine and nostalgic image!

Regards, Cornelius.

The grey sky complements the red building to perfection Raj.
Nice vertical lines throughout.

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

It does look tilted but you are right about the verticals being straight Raj. I think it is all the lines that makes this shot so good. Another fine one in the series.
