As Susanne has pointed out this is a peony called "Bowl of Beauty" - You can see it on Google -Images

I have no idea as well, Raj. Must be an exotic one. I'm curious however where you have taken this splendid F² image, because my wife couldn't give me the answer (again) too. Perhaps in a park, botanic garden or even India, or just at home?

Regards, Cornelius.

I think it is a Peony called "Bowl of Beauty". A friend of mine had it in her garden. I googled it and found some photos and webb pages about it too. It is a beautiful flower and your photo is very good. Great work!

It looks like the Peony camp is claiming it Raj. I didn't have a clue as to the kind but there was no doubt you snapped it perfectly.
