The Attacus Atlas is the largest butterfly in the world. Its wingspan reaches up to 10 in. and the total wing area up to 62 sq. inches. I was lucky to find one at the butterfly park.
25 cm ....?! Really ?! Then I am afraid. The size of a bat and flying equally quietly.... and what if it touches my face ?! At night it means heart attack, at daytime - just a scream!!! LOL Enough Eeyorish talk. Love the colours although slightly disapprove of too fleshy substance the flier is made of... SAM & SAAB [both agree]
Where for Goodness sake did you get that, dear friend ?! Don't say you keep them as home pets ! Like some people have canaries, parrots etc minor poultry... LOL Read the link with fascinating info and beautiful pics. But you know what ...? After all these are moths, not butterflies and I am rather cautious about them moths ... Not so much as to kill them, but run away - yes !!! And fast like hell. SAM
My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
