This is a brilliant shot Raj...people tend to forget that these have to undergo repairs and updates!

A lot of shipyards are gone the last few years, but I see that the Hamburger Blohm & Voss shipyard still exists. Very fine capture Raj, of this passenger ship.

Nice job with this one Raj. Drydock systems are truely amazing and I've had the opportunity to undergo drydock repairs twice back in my Navy days. (we had wooden ships back then. lol) Thank for sharing.

These Cruise ships certainly have become huge since my last voyage.... but it's so far back, I can't remember if it was under Sail :-)

I feel I owe you an explanation first, Raj. I have taken again liberty to award one cred to each member [regardless if SOS member or not LOL] who has some past in sailing/shipbuilding and included some material information [re watercraft]. HOWGH. I am going to pursue this new rule unless I am told to stop.
Now to the merits. As always this goes at once for further study on my HD. In Szczecin we have one repair yard with no floating dock though... We used it in the past for some check-ups on some newbuildings or tests etc. So floating dock in front of me is a valuable thing. Thanks, dear friend.

What an interesting image Raj. I didn't realise that there was such a thing as a floating dry-dock.
