This is not the usual kind of pigeon but it is a pigeon. I took this photo at the tropical birds section (temp. about 30 C and humid) of the bird park "Walsrode"

It could be a BFP (Backwards Flying Pigeon), Raj. (LOL!!!)

Nice capture my friend.

That's the most colorful pigeon I have ever seen, Raj. Maybe it is a hybrid or something. It looks like it is part blue jay! Gorgeous shot.

One cred from me to agent SEAS [Cornelius] for his being true to SOS policy of keeping things sweet & short and SECRET for most LOL
Also another interesting comment from Jimbo [agent SAJ] re mix or hybrid.
The bird itself seems acceptable provided it does not make the usual noise typical of pigeons that drives me crazy throughout spring-summer-autumn period, ie when windows are open 24 hrs/day ! :)

Having viewed the image full size [late, so what? LOL], I confirm and verify - this is Boris amongst pigeons, meaning mix of sparrow, parrot & pigeon. HOWGH. LOL

I think its mother spent the night with a parakeet, Raj. Not two parakeets, just one. Now I'm confused. So was Mrs. Pigeon.
Good one.

This is probably the best looking pigeon I've seen Raj - certainly not the usual pigeons I used to see on the streets of downtown Chicago on my way to work every day. A very nice and unique capture.
