Before anyone asks, I dd not place the gull there. On that day there were too many gulls all over the river.
My possible entry for the contest.

Raj, think you'll agree with me that the gull has no interest in people, only in food. Probably it's searching for fish in the area behind the boat, because of the movement of the water.

Nice timing, Raj. The shot is very clear and concise. These guys are always looking for an easy meal. and you captured the bird's natural curiosity.
What is it about gulls anyway? What would happen to a gull if you locked it in a room with a huge pile of fish? Would they know when enough is enough or would they explode?
I had a white dog years ago and left a bowl of chili within jumping height. When I came back, the chili was gone and the dog's face was orange. I'm wondering if gulls are suicidal eaters like dogs.
