Just a couple of notes here, Raj.

First.. you have a duplicate posted.

I'll leave it to you to choose between and delete one.

Then..

Have a look at Jeff's; aka Pistos upload from the other day. Namely; "Sparkly Fish".

In the comments are a couple of tips for future reference.

Hope it isn't an edible species, Raj. Too beautiful to consume it, ☺ .
Thanks for this very fine one, my friend!

Well captured Raj - it looks quite exotic.
I think Richie is correct and Cornelius will be disappointed. It certainly looks like a groper (or grouper). They become less blue as they age and they can live as long as 60 years. The NZ Maori name for it is Hapuku. I can vouch for its deliciousness :)

The background helps to set him off nicely, I think the others have given you the right name. Raj, a hard capture, but you did good.

I agree with Richie ... some sort grouper or cichlid. Hates a mystery, Raj. :| Go back to where you took the pic and find out. lol

I am assuming that you took this through glass? Great job of capturing color and clarity, without any glare (other than the fish's).

AS noted above, it looks like a type of grouper. Another excellent aquarium capture.
