A fabulous building obviously built to last ! You achieved really fine detail here Raj and I like the inclusion of the people which brings it to life. Without them I would think it was an illustration from a fairy tale !. Thank you for the link. I enjoyed reading about the Holstentor.
My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
Raj, this is a very good capture of this well conserved and maintained, already in 1464 built, gate. See that your weather was very inviting for a photo shoot as well. Very well done, my friend!

I'm fascinated by the architecture there. Excellent detail, and I love the background buildings which are possibly nearly as ancient. Beautiful building wonderfully photographed. I checked for noise in that blue sky and found none. 9.374 out of 10 for me.
Dorothy Michaels: No, just Dorothy. Alan's always Alan, Tom's always Tom and John's always John. I have a name too. It's Dorothy, capital D-O-R-O-T-H-Y.
