The m.v."Cape Maria" in the floating drydock at the port of Hamburg. The appearance is deceiving because it is more a frontal than a side view. The ship is almost a 1000 ft long :

Length :948 ft Breadth : 155 ft. Deadweight .170,012 tons

Raj, this image shows perfectly the submerged part of the 'Cape Maria'. Its size doesn't amaze me, but think that for the 'non maritime Caedes-friends' it will be an 'eye-opener', ☺ .

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

Not only is it impressive in size, but the color makes it so easy to spot, and makes for a good contrast against the blue water in this shot.

That size is impressive - it's more than 3x the size of one of our football fields - nicely captured.

Looks like you and Cornelius are trying to out "maritime" each other. Unlike Cornelius, I'm astonished by the size. Hamburg is a city of large ships and industrial components. My little town has nothing to compare to this. Fine shot. Wonder why the part of the ship that is underwater is bright orange.
