This is the ship that I took over from the shipyard in 1979. The maiden voyage went from England via North European ports, through suez canal to Indonesia, Taiwan, South Korea on to Vancouver Canada. We had severe storms in the Pacific.

In that era an impressive ship, Raj. When compared with the nowadays floating giants, this 'lady' had a certain charm.

Well she lived up to her name and got you through the Pacific storms.
That was a long maiden voyage.
I sailed through the Suez Canal in September 1956, the month before the 1956 closure. (as a passenger I hasten to add) I remember it clearly . I was too young to understand the nervousness of my parents. I think they tried to hide it.

Oh my goodness! I just checked that itinerary on a globe...and you went 3/4 ways round the world on your maiden voyage! What a trip that must have been. Nice shot of the "Good Faith!"
