Woah! What's that ugly thing doing there? Don't worry, it's just me standing next to a statue of Horus in the Temple of Horus at Edfu. This sculpture is cut from a solid block of granite and for an indication of size, i'm a half inch short of six feet. (That's high, not round the waist.) When you consider it's over 2000 years old, that's quite a feat. http://homepages.tcp.co.uk/~nicholson/egypt/temples.html

great picture, that most be a lot of work making such big statues in those days, but still looks good I mean the statue:)) kidding, you're just looking good too:))

What a great pose...the statue, I mean...oh, and you too, of course...interesting that there should be a man guarding a man from the bird above...you're doing a nice job of fitting right in here, I see :) congrats to whoever it was that took this great pic as well, by the way..you'd better hang on to your camera, Ray.
