This image was taken by my friend Nia Stephen, she's an amateur photographer with lots of ideas. I hope to work with her again soon.
I spruced this up in PS CS. I hope you like it!
That’s a very pleasant scene. I’d be happy to give it a ten if the horizon was level. However I think this will be a popular image because it’s excellent in every other aspect.
and where are the other comments?! this is an astonishing image! a brilliant idea.. i'm not usually fond of people "distrubing" in the perfect sunset images.. but this girl fits perfectly and adds a somehow mysterious spirit into this image.. and the sea looks wonderful.. the sky is fabulous.. everything is amazing! it goes into my favourites, for sure.. thank you ;)
and happy easter :o)
To be honest, the sky is my favorite part, and without the slant, it just wouldn't be the same (even though the colors would still be incredible). The single flaw that I notice is the rough edges on her right side. This wouldn't make such a big deal if it wasn't such a stark contrast change. Excellent manipulation! :-)
I agree with the above comments, its a very nice photo. Composition wise, I think it might have been cool to see the person in the photo moved either slightly to the left or slightly to the right, that way a little more of the reflections in the water of the sun could be in the image. Regardless, this is very well done.
ive been a member of this site for 5 months or more now and i havent commented on any images yet (not that they're not awesome). but this one caught my eye...it looks awesome. and she calls herself an amateur? good job ;-)
yeah, definantly dosnt seem like the work of an amature! :D
my single suggestion would be to get rid of the lens flare in the black, just below the girl... it takes my attention away from the image more than it should.
other than that, this shot is awsome. (btw i like the un-horizontal horizon! dont listen to the others!)
i like this a lot.. it was a great shot and good job on the manipulation.. i do notice the lens flare that was mentioned above, but it would be easily removed. great work ;]
Creative, imaginative, alluring. These were the first words that came to mind. Can't quite decide if I like the horizon or find it distracting. But I do keep coming back to look. Nice capture.
have to agree with atinman . I can't decide waht i think of the horizon - whether it adds or detracts from the image. Although this is a really clever and strange shot. Very creative , and the sky is awesome.
I am truly amazed that anyone could notice the horizon line { I didn't---just saw comments}
with the beautiful and sensuous angel and perfect background....it could not be less than perfect! :)
Hmmm: ok...if I just hafta pick something..maybe I'd say clone the X in the sky out? But that's not even a big deal..just sort of takes away a bit from the perfection....
Please forgive me: I want to thank everyone who views and comments my images, I try but it is hard to write individual thank you at times. Please know you are appreciated!
This image is yet another that inspires me greatly into needing above all to get a camera that would allow me to begin in photography. It is simple yet complex, and somehow brilliantly balanced. The sun being perfectly set to create just enough silhouette to soften the rest of the image, and bring out colors in the sky to make it seem almost as though there is a slight translucent rainbow stretched across the clouds... I love it. Let your friend Nia know that she already has talent with out a doubt, and also that you two work well together for sure. I can tell you that with confidence.
