It's all about perspective and perception.
The B&W gives it a very desolate look...and also an interesting gradient of grays.

Help Wanted:
Clone needed to take over my duties so that I can stay on Caedes all day...
Beautiful subject, however I find that the photo is a bit overexposed. Try using dodge (makes things brighter) and burn (makes things darker) in any decent photo-editing software to reign in that contrast, then this image will be fantastic!

Nice photo ,perhaps a little more work with the software might pep it up a bit.Try a little
more contrast in the forground and burning the sky in a bit,what do you think?
