I have no idea what inspired this one, I guess good music and a tastey apple ^^. It's just a really bad guy, getting ready to dish out some planetary pain. It started out as a doodle, as a lot of drawings do... But I just kinda rolled with it :) I like how it turned out. Looks good on the desktop too. Enjoy, thanks!

Ha... Love it. Texture is in such an opposition to the theme of the image that you described that I want to add a counterstory: That guy ain't happy, allright, but it's not him dishing out the "planetary pain"; he is actually pouting at his mentor, and is quite unhappy because of the planet's previous civilization, who must now perish. OK, that was a bit too complex, sorry.,.. I think I like your version now! Anyway, a wonderful image.

I don't know what inspired it either, but whatever it was must be good. This is very impressive work. I don't know about interpretation. I wouldn't necessarily have said the figure was evil - maybe evil, maybe simply a cold, dispassionate observer, maybe something more... sometimes detachment, neutrality can appear evil in the short-term without being so... It rather looks to me as if the figure is surveying destruction that has already happened, not really with compassion but not with pleasure either. More resignation? Not quite that. More just with a detachment which might strike us as evidence of evil in a human, but this is not a human, I don't think...

Er... I realise that's not right. I never see what I should...
