This is a yellow-shafted female Northern Flicker. I took this picture yesterday during a stroll along the Boise River Greenway.

I've never seen one of these. Great markings on the underside of this Beauty. Bet Egggray would put out 2 bucks worth of worms to get a shot at one those. LOL.

Good capture. My guess is that this particular bird isn't real common? If so, that makes the image especially nice.
