How sad, a family used to live here, and judging from the tree, there were children or young people in love there too. Love all the colors you've captured, from that yellow on the walls to the peeling green paint on the door. Nice shot, thanks for showing us.
Lovely shot, the area of Plaka is the oldest in Athens and is full of old houses. Some are being renovated and preserved, some others not. Either way, you captured this lovely and the colours here make it even more special for me. Thank you for posting this, it's really lovely.
Excellent! I love how it shows the power of nature over humans. We forget all too easy just how insignificant we are compared to the beauty and life of the natural world that we should cherish more and stop fighting.
What a fascinating image. If only it could talk, the story behind it would be told! The compostion is right on. There is agreat mix of colors here, with non too bold as to dominate the scene. The doorway covered with vines is amazing. It looks like are names carves in the tree :)
Well done and thank you for posting this :))
I just saw this for the first time for some reason..and I really love this photo. It has SO very very much character...The vines grown over the door is just magical..its sad and lonely, and yet I can imagine it in the summer when there are flowers on the vine..wow..and thos initials carved in the tree, talk about something touching...wow..but I also see two plants growing in pots, that look like they are fairly new. I wonder why....well, its a most lovely shot....
I like this picture alot. I think that this home had a lot of little memories and now it is all empty.I think this was a great capture, I do see where someone has left there mark on the tree. Wonder who it was?? Great shot. Lovely picture.
