This shot was taken using some satin cloth as the background. I like the richness it brings to the backdrop with the satin folds of the cloth. I hope you will enjoy these pretty bloom smiles. Thank you for your views and comments! Note: This is likely the last shot I will put in the VB this season. Just as in seasons past, my work is getting hammered in the VB. To those whom like to smash other work in the Voting Booth: Even if you dislike floral shots, you should be able to move past that and enjoy a fine photo, an expression of beauty beheld and shared....

Stan, I'm truly sorry to hear that your having problems in VB, your work is stunning, and done with the upmost care in how you present your roses. At least we do have the option of voting booth or no voting booth. I use it still, why I'm not really sure. Your floral postings are stunning and it would be nice to get fair votes, so we can really see what others think, but I don't think it works that way here on Caedes.This is a dropdead gorgeous presention my friend. Cameras are like people--sometimes they lose focus.
I have 'Saved & Faved' this one instantly too, after I had it the VB. Don't tell however the marks it got from, but I couldn't go higher, lol.

PS: from time to time, I see the same behaviour of some insane voters in the VB. When they don't see the beauty of your images, it should be their problem and not yours, because they are blind and will have to go to a doctor. Cherish the given comments, Stan!

A little like something I do Stan...I use black plastic for the reflections...the satin seems to give it a more softer look to it!...must try that

Two real beauties here Stan. The dark cloth has give them a good Dof. Since they started with the new way of calculating the C-Index the scores have toppled like a stock market crash. I still put mine in the VB but I don't much bother about the results.

I agree with you about the VB. I quit that almost a year ago now. I like the site better without the c-I. I don't know why anyone would vote low on your shots, though. I don't think there are very many members here that vote fairly, but only by what they like. It's a shame. This is another gorgeous shot, Stan.
