Last Sunday I was out walking around the rosebeds. All at once there were four dragonflies floating about the roses. They came in out of nowhere! I was so happy to see them I stood there in shock for a while. Then one of them landed for a rest on the rosebush foliage right in front of me! Love dragonflies!! Hope you all enjoy seeing this one too. Thanks for your views and comments.

Must have been a squadron of dragonflies doing aerial reconnaissance. This one found himself a most pleasing runway of red rose leaves. Nice sharp image, Stan. I like the framing too.

Fantastic capture of the dragon, Stan. It looks great on those leaves, and the lighting is perfect. Very nicely done.

Stan - It's a poser! Your standing still for a while allowed it to forget about your presence and land in the perfect spot for this shot. Very good focus on the head and upper body. With the lighting angle, you have the veining of the wings nicely visible. Terrific capture! Thad

---All at once there were four dragonflies floating about the roses---

Suppose that one saw your wonderful rosegarden 'in flight' and instantly flew to some colleagues to tell them that it had seen something that was amazingly beautiful. That may be the reason that you saw four dragonflies at once, Stan, lol!

Very good image and ditto presentation!

Regards, Cornelius.

I can smell the sunlight on your skin. Listen to them. Children of the night. What music they make!

The leaves are as pretty as the dragonfly Ace. I bet you were surprised when their squadron flew in. Wonderful post.
I think 3-4 are called wings but I like the word Squadron better. :)
