Stan - I trust you are not affected by the wild fires that are in your state. This is a beautiful rose captured so well. Thad

A gorgeous bloom and in the perfect lighting. So pretty, Stan.

Oddly, on my walk this morning I ran into a woman and her daughter and her little dog, out for a walk too. I was taking shots of a wild rose by the roadside and she had come to cut their petals for making rose water and other things. I said they were wet, but why not dig some up and grow them at home. She said that she had lots of rose bushes already. I said good day and went on my way.

On my return I found them still near the rose, but now the mother had dug one up to take home and plant. They are a wild rose, but a deeper shade than those light pink ones you usually see.

So, I guess roses bring people together too.

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
