Another shot taken on a recent trip to Michigans U.P. area. I was impressed with the Hotel and really enjoyed this corner with the tulips set in the foreground against the hotel.

Great photograph. But I get the feeling that TINY TIM IS ABOUT TO GO ACROSS THE SCREEN SINGING......hehe. This is a lovely garden full of wonderfully coloured tulips. Great work

This is the Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island east of St. Ignace, and just north of the "Big Mac" bridge connecting the two peninsuals of Michigan. This hotel has the longest porch of any hotel in America and some of the most beautiful flower gardens in front and below it. The island and particularly the hotel was the set of a Jane Seymour and Christopher Reeves movie titled "Somewhere in Time (1980). Not a great movie but plenty of great scenes of the island. You get to the hotel from the dock by walking, biking or horse and buggy--no automobiles (except ambulances) are allowed on the island. I didn't have a decent camera when I visited there 5 years ago so it's great to see a good shot from there. Takes me back, thanks.
