For several weaks we had very hot weather with many thunderstorms. I felt like i was living in some tropical country, not in Sweden :-) This day i went for a walk in between the thunderstorms. The sun was out and the heat was almost unbearable. The air was so steamy it was hard to breathe.

I love the light effects in this post. Really very pretty and you did a fine job on it. May i suggest just a slight tilt to straighen it though (which can be done with picasa 2 by google) or maybe its me. Susanne this is very nice I do like it alot, looks like my kind of place to walk. ♫ :)sandi ♪ ♫

:) I can sense the humidity and heat in this wonderful capture....and the hint of your storms are seen in the puddles along the dirt road. I really enjoy scenes like this and you being tucked away from the sun on a days walk. Catching a breath on a job well done.

What a nice picture. I like the dark greens on the diagonals, they really set up the center. You can feel the heat rising and I am surprised you did not capture some flying insects fluttering about your lenses on a day like this. Very good picture Susanne.

Good day Susanne,
I like this capture too, and what I like is how the road runs between the dark trees and bush and contains light and dark shadow and the large tree in the meadow. Peaceful!! Very Nice!!

I can remember days like this too. You just don't know where to put yourself and even the rain offers no relief. I like that you have captured the puddles of water on the roadway.

Yes, I know just the kind of hot steamy summer day you're talking about! We have many days like that here on Cape Cod. And your image even looks heavy and wet... a good one, with the added pleasure of a winding country road... although on such a day I'd be following it in my nice air-conditioned car. :-)))

I wish you had sent some of that hot weather down here! I can still see some puddles, no doubt left from one of the thunderstorms. Nice shot.

Again, your landscapes could be here in the valleys of the Pacific Northwest. Very beautiful and lush. What was the tempter there at the time?
And “Down Under” just freaked me out after seeing your beartiful landscapes and all, Whoa! (not a bad thing)

Unbearable heat and humid, sounds like a typical summer day here. Hope it didn't last too long.
You captured this really nicely, I like the 2 trees in the foreground and how my eye follows the road. Nice lighting and landscape shot. Thanks for sharing.

The softness in the focus adds to the "steaminess" of your photo. Beautiful comp, Susanne, and I hope there was a little lake right around the corner.
