These wetlands were once used as pastureland and was drained. Now it has been restored and is the home for several species of birds. When this photo was taken most of the birds had gone south for the winter.

Beautiful nature site, with or without the birds. It seems slowly the seasons are changing this year. Great autumn scenery, Susanne.

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being. - Hermes

Now I am late and I see that I was preceded by many of your admirers. I'm glad to see some land gone back to its original intent and your photo truly brings that beauty out and presents it well for us to see!
