These wetlands were once used as pastureland and was drained. Now it has been restored and is the home for several species of birds. When this photo was taken most of the birds had gone south for the winter.
You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being.

The sound you may have just heard was the sound of your picture knocking my socks off. What a tremendous shot! I like all of the colors. The clarity and attention to detail is very good. Your composition is outstanding.
colors and soft light/shadows are so beutifully retreated, Susanne!:D great shot, the tree to the right gives it a pretty smooth touch... nicely done, dear :))
Susanne,
how nice it must be to go out and enjoy such beautiful scenery as you've captured here. You can just feel the mood of the moment. I have always enjoyed the wetlands! :-) Thanks for sharing!!
Now I am late and I see that I was preceded by many of your admirers. I'm glad to see some land gone back to its original intent and your photo truly brings that beauty out and presents it well for us to see!
