Beautiful! It's good to see a little chlorophyll, again. The ice makes such interesting patterns, too.

No self respecting brown trout is half-way ready to swim there yet surely, Susanne? Dont the trout go south for the winter like the rest of us? Come to think of it.. here at Whitby we were swimming in the sea on Boxing Day.. so its not that far fetched I suppose. But, a lovely picture and so evocative of the Melt and Spring and the fire in all our bones. +tmy+

PS Love the new personal Icon!

Well it is a bit early for the fish I suppose but the good news is that the ice is melting and spring is on the way. Nice capture, Susanne.

Now you just need to send some of that warmer weather over here to NE and I'd be really happy! Nice take of some very interesting textures, Susanne.

EDIT: I like your icon as well. It says a lot :)

Love the textures and the different stages of the water. The moss adds color and the fallen logs framing. Excellent Susanne. Have a good weekend.

That looks cold with all that ice. You got a lot of moss, too. It give the shot a lot of color. You must have gotten your feet wet to get this. Nice, Susanne.

Now this is something I rarely ever see.
It may freeze here once, twice a winter and it usually melts by mid noon.
