"Where there is perhaps a province in which the photograph can tell us nothing more than what we see with our own eyes, there is another in which it proves to us how little our eyes permit us to see." ~Dorothea Lange
... and I like it because... because... well I dont know why I like it really. There is something about the gaze and the treatment makes that the focus of it all and the monochrome treatment gives it all an interesting timelessness. So, a yes! Tommy
Perfect! The gaze in her eyes and the overall composition is just perfect. Like phasmid said.. this is the type of stuff you would see on an expensive greeting card! Love it & Fav'd!
This is a really great shot and brings out the superiority and delicate air of cats. Also the treatment you gave it enhances the picture. Collecters item for cat lovers.
Dreamy, cute and wonderful. That are my first impressions when I saw this image, Susanne. Think you know that first impressions are most of the times the best, lol!

I'm not a cat person but I really like this image, Susanne. The expression on the cats face is wonderful as was your choice to go b/w. Did the cat attack the flower during or after the shoot?

That's very very sweet. It actually made me laugh out loud because it's also kind of 'cheesy' - like those pictures of women you see from the 1920's. It's brilliantly done, congratulations on a really successful image!!

aha, this could very well be my cat...in fact I have a similar picture but yours is much nicer...perhaps one day I'll post mine to show you...very soft and endearing with a hint of the mischievious in her eyes...love your choice of greyscale...good work.
My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
