I am not sure if this pop eyed little beauty is a moth or something else, perhaps you can help me out?

I couldn't say, but whatever it is, you got a great shot of it. Is it wearing sunglasses?

how you managed to get the focus on him and not the plant is amazing. Good shot in a tricky position.

It's a moth Susanne. You can tell if it's a moth because the antennae are feathery while those of a butterfly are smooth. Anyway if I'm better at boiology you are better at photography. Good shot.

Poor little gal lost half an antenna. It's dangerous out there. Mighty fine capture. The other giveaway is the way the wings are down and folded back. Butterflies cannot fold their wings into the delta configuration at rest. Moths cannot store their wings in the vertical position when they are at rest. Love all the hues and composition.

I love how this moth is coming out of a seemingly endless sea of yellow and green. I think you DOF and focus are perfectly set in this one.
