A nice B/W edition but I think you would have conveyed the heat more in colour.

When I see a picture like this, it immediately take me back to the days of black and white movies. Those were the days. This is a very peaceful, and gorgeous black and whit.

Very much like the lower angle you have chosen as well as the composition. The f/g rocks work well as stepping stones for the eye into the scene. The tonal range is very good as well with just the right shadings to give depth. Then the clouds finish it off nicely. A good piece of work imo Susanne. Thanks.

There seems to be a trend to B/W tonight Susanne. I like this reminds me of a vacation from many years ago. Nice scene. I imagine it would look great in color as well.

I do not think the subject is the heat but rather the approach to the lake and the view you receive as you make this approach. And the view is excellent in black and white.
