I have posted 2 photos of this castle before. This is a closer view where I tried to capture some of the ornaments and the beautiful roofs.
"Vadstena Castle was built by King Gustav Vasa in 1545 as a fortress to protect Stockholm from enemies from the south. The fortress consisted of three smaller stone buildings facing the lake, Vättern, three 31 meter wide ramparts, a courtyard, a moat and four circular cannons turrets." (quote from Wikipedia)

From this angle I feel like I am a scout checking out the fort for an upcoming attack. It is so beautiful I think I will stay. The blue in the windows seems to be reflecting from the sky. Good post.

Super textures in the stones of the castle, and I like the clear blue sky. You are right. Those are some handsome roofs. They don't look weathered at all. Nice post.

What a beautiful capture! I always wondered though why castles look so spooky. They're so big!..lol..I love that blue sky for its background! Another beauty girl!
