Why do the pictures come out square when the lens is round??

Really nice this, it stands out from the 'run of the mill' pet shots as the way you've done it is very artistic. The soft light on the background is lovely, and the combination of the green grass and black coat mean the focus is on the cat as a structural element in the shot rather than as a personality. I might suggest placing him slightly off-centre, but this works for me!
