The reason I offer up the above link/tutorial to you, is that (in my humble opinion of course) ... believe by selectively applying the blur more so ... the open waters could be more delineated or clearer. Revealing detail(s) lost.
And in turn (again, my humble opinion here), kick things up a notch or two on the final presentation.
A little too much clarity can be sacrificed by that of the Multiply blending mode on the one layer in conjunction with the Blur employed. (If I have this correct.)
Have a look see at the video, and I believe you will like the additional creative control afforded you by this three layer technique. (Suppose you could use Masks to accomplish the same creative goal, mind you. Which is the point here. Kind of, sort of.)
That said ...
Nice one. And from the bin?
We should all be so lucky to have shots like this sitting around. Very pleasant to view. :o)

Beautiful view, Susanne. I love the contrast between the warm colours of the vegetation and the blue of the water. Also the reflections of the trees and the two ducks.
Beautiful photo,Susanne, the colors and lighting are very nice as well as the landscape, very nice place, the cloudy sky is very good too,i see two Canada geese, very nice work.
It is a lovely scene and I agree with Les. That grass in front and the water is a bit overly blurred. Other than that a very beautiful image well presented.
Always remember - Follow the Yellow Brick Road, it will lead you to OZ and the Emerald City. A very nice place to live. Trust me on this one, I live there. The Lion **** MY CAEDES GALLERY****Another Site I'm AT - MY DA HOME PAGE
Gorgeous spring scene ... the warmly colored reeds / grasses in contrast with the blue water & greenery makes an eye-appealing image. I like how you composed the scene too ... plus the ducks or geese are a nice finishing touch. Very well done Susanne ... love everything about it.
It is really a good post Susanne. I like the contrasts very much. The two geese and the partially hidden boat really add a lot to the scene.
Good layered look.
Les' video is interesting as well.
