A beautiful sunny december day, but cold.

I apologize to you who commented on this shot before I took it down again. I tried to correct the over saturated turquoise color in the shadows.

All comments are most welcome. I thank you in advance for taking the time. Always greatly appreciated! --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Looks like my kind of place....in the woods, plenty of snow and a warm fire in the house:))

I agree, it looks like a great place to just sit by a fire and let the world go on by.

The smoke from the chimney gives me the idea that I'm in a wonderful wint'ry fairy tale land.
Perhaps cold, but very beautiful as well Susanne.

The smoke from the chimney really makes this shot special Susanne. A Christmas card look to it.

Love it! That smoke stack is so inviting me into that house since the sun's rays no longer provide it any warmth. I like the crystal look on the branches on the left too. Beautiful enough for a card? Yes.

I would like to be in front of the fireplace, rather than be outside taking pictures. LOL. Nice wintry shot, Susanne.

The reason why the sunsets in the evening is because it wants to see the sunrise in the morning. I rise in the morning because I want to see them both. RvdB

A very beautiful and seasonal shot, Susanne! The cold blue shadows are a wonderful contrast to the warmer sunlight in the tops of the trees. The foreground tree is very well placed, and the detail in the shadows is excellent. The house looks very warm and inviting and makes a great subject. Very well done!
