It looked as if the lamp was lit, but it was the sun that lit up the lamp. Please enjoy.

Very nice photo great detail and nice close up too.You can see that it is the sun because if it was the lamp you would not have the reflections of them lovely icicles hanging down and the snow cap.Great photo. You could have made a quiz out of this one is it sun or lamp light.

Great capture Susanne. If you hadn't said it everyone would have thought that the lamp is lit.

Susanne looks to me like you have caught some sun well done.

The reason why the sunsets in the evening is because it wants to see the sunrise in the morning. I rise in the morning because I want to see them both. RvdB

I would have thought the lamp was lit had you not explained Susanne. I really like the shot.

Susanne - You chose a great angle for this photo to have the sunlight 'lighting' the snow-capped lamp. Thad

It does look like the lamp is lit up! I like this light a bit more because it has a little better color that the lamp light does. I like the warm feel to this image!

Last night I lay in bed looking up at the stars in the sky and I thought to myself, where the heck is the ceiling.

It does indeed look like a cap. How many would walk by this lamp post and think nothing of this? Good eye you have, Susanne. There is beauty everywhere.

You caught the sunlight just right to make it look like the lamp is on. Very nice, Susanne. I like that hat of snow, too.

A wonderfully creative way to light that lamp, Susanne! You've turned a perfectly ordinary object into a great photo. The snow and ice on top of the lamp are a perfect touch, and I like the soft background. Well done!

I love this photo. Very well composed and the hint of illumination edging over the snow cap is a delight. You've managed to capture at the same time an intriguing feeling of both cold and warmth. It's imaginative and it's beautiful.

Ah, and no electricity bill! This shot is one of those I'd see on a Christmas card... Nice little texture comparison of glass and snow, makes for an interesting contrast. Pity that the icicles weren't bigger, they'd have echoed the glass texture nicely.
