I wish all my friends here at Caedes a Prosperous New Year!

This old log cabin looked as if it was trying to hide in the snow. Hope you enjoy.

All comments are most welcome. I thank you in advance for taking the time. Always greatly appreciated! --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Susanne this is a nice image !, Happy New Year to you too !
It looks like on the foreground the snowheight is +/- 2 meter, but on the
roof and the chimney it is +/- 0,1 meter ?
That's a lot of difference....lol !

Happy New Year to you as well Susanne, and thanks for this wonderful post.
My first thought, when I saw, this image, was: poor people inside this cabin. They will suffer soon from a lack of oxygen, lol.
Both beautiful and impressive.
Regards, Cornelius.

Looks like the cabin sunk in a snow hole! How does one get to the door or for that matter, out the door? This is really a story shot, Susanne.

Susanne - From this angle the cabin appears to be snowed in - yikes! The wood contrasts beautifully with the snow and sky. Excellent light control in this photo. Thad

And a prosperous new year to you, as well, Susanne!

This is a simple, uncluttered, and beautiful photo. You've certainly captured the essence of winter in this shot. I love the rich brown color of the cabin and how it sits neatly between that gorgeous robin's-egg-blue sky and all that snow. The soft light is also very nice. Well done!
