Heading home after a long day of shooting but time for one last shot. Glad you took it Susanne. Lighting is superb.

Over the river and thru the woods,
To grandmother's house we go;
The horse knows the way to carry the sleigh,
Thru the white and drifted snow, oh!

Over the river and thru the woods,
Oh, how the wind does blow!
It stings the toes and bites the nose,
As over the ground we go.

Very beautiful post:)

Looks like the long way home, Susanne. lol I like it when the sun's rays are just hitting the tops of the trees like this. You had enough light left to capture this beautifully snow laden, birch lined road. Looks like a little wind brought down some tree branches too.

Susanne - This is not a road I'd want to be traveling on in the dark. Head home while there is still daylight. It is a pretty winter scene. Thad

How lovely this is Susanne !
Your timing in capturing the sunny treetop glow makes it extra special.
Most inviting - a nice place to walk :)

A wonderful woodland photo, Susanne! The evening light catching the treetops adds a beautiful bit of warmth to the chilly woods. Nice camera work, as well. You've done a great job balancing the light and shadows, and the eye can't help but wander up that road. Well done!
