Heres a macro shot of a moth on a spot light. It looks to me like he needed to warm up. Something about this shot caught my eye. I figured a few others also might like this pretty unique shot. Please let me know what you think. Thanks SMJ

This is actually very cool. I love that frosty light that has the moth hypnotised.

I'm sorry I don't like it. I don't think it is goodlooking or cool, just a moth on a lamp.

An interesting attempt, but I'm afraid the moth needs to be sharper, and to have more in view, to really catch the eye. Possibly getting someone to hold a flashlight to help illuminate it from the other side may have helped in this situation. I'm not sure the moth needed to "warm up" - if so, how would it have reached the spotlight in the first place? Moths often get dazzled and confused by strong light; once having been attracted to it they may just sit (and sometimes vibrate their wings) not knowing what to do next. Not too good for the moth - but helpful to a photographer. :)

You are observant, and your intrigue impelled you to snap this visitor. Lights at night always seem busy with winged creatures. I wish I could see more of the moth! The picture makes me want to know more about what you were doing out when you saw this, and do you always carry your camera at night? Bill.
