Spotted this cheeky fellow on the way back from Southbank the other day. He was very bold and let me get pretty close. I did a fair bit of PS editing on this so am very interested in your feedback.
Very nice pose. Congratulations to that little funny monster. I like the details. The lizard looks nice with the bright background grass. It illuminates the shot. Thank you.
I assume thats a rock he's perched on...the contrast between the gray and the light background...is very nice..I can almost "feel" the stone texture...and he is gorgeous....such a "proud" lookin' guy...Isn't it kewl how his tail lays right on the edge of that stone too?! A very nice photo Sam...
My kid is going to love this. I'm downloading images of animals from caedes for him to train his language on. He's getting really good by now. We're not down on a species level yet but he'll have no problems telling this is a lizard (in Swedish naturally and with a slightly off pronunciation). ^_^ I can tell you I like this image as well. I only show him images that I really like myself, hoping that if he ever comes to like to take photograph like me, that he should get a natural sense for good composition, lighting and choice of subjects. ;)
Great capture...in addition to the bold, inquisitiveness of the main subject, I really like the angle of the shot and the detail in the texture and color in the rock.:Pat.
Really incredible detail in the subject and foreground. Outstanding.
Great composition as well. I agree with the above statements as to the background almost acting as a backdrop for your image. Very sharp contrast that serves to outline the subject.
And, again, you have peaked my curiosity as what the before looked like before editing. I am wondering if you caught a reflection of light (center of image)? Or did you purposely introduced that element and so forth. It does provide a focal point, but, in my mind's eye, perhaps a bit harsh.
Your capture and balance in the image, I feel, is strong enough to foregoe it. Can you enlighten us ... er, me?
Great capture! He's really quite a magnificent looking little fellow, and you were luck to get him to do his proud little pose for you. Great job!...=]
