Really pretty from this angle. The building itself was boring on the inside however. They barely had exhibits.

Very interesting architecture, and all the more interesting knowing that many of our ancestors may have passed through the doors, seeking a new life in America. Nice shot, but please rotate it 2 degrees clockwise to get the vertical and horizontal elements "square with the world." Thanks.

i agree with the above--you should rotate the image....but other than that this is truly an interesting image...my grandparents entered America through Ellis Island..

Hi Sarah Lee. I really enjoy seeing the grand buildings of the USA. This one really reminds me of the Victorian style of architecture in the UK. The brightness of the picture brings out all the colours of the river and building as well as the animation of the people on the promenade. But I do agree with sailorman and orange freak about the angle. The listing midline means that the whole linear potential of the flag pole, the bricklines, and the embankment is lost. If the image was straightened it would make it asymetrically perfect and I'd love it even more. That said, I think the view and composition is very good. Can't wait to see more excellent pictures of where you live.

It's better to have a living dog, than a dead lion.
