I was having a "Daddy Day" today, (If you have lost a loved one, then you know what I mean}. Of course I had to work today, but driving into one of my many Water Wells, at the end of the drive..I see this. Ironic huh. I've began experimenting with my camera on Aperture only, where I manually adjust the aperture. Starting to have fun with this and I hope it's just one step closer to going manual. Shot with a Fuji FinePix s700 at ISO 200..F4 at 1/120. Any and all critiques and advice is extremely welcome.

beautiful. I love how you used the leaves from the trees to frame the rays so well. I couldn't think of anything to suggest... I love this!

Love your composition, Paul. This is really a fine photo. I was taught in photography class to always try to shoot at ISO 100 to avoid any grain or pixellation. You asked for comments, and that's about the only one I can think of if you're truly going to go manual. I think it would have worked here, and especially if you had shot with a slightly slower shutter speed.

Isn't it great to experiment? Yours truly turned out fine!

We don’t make art to show someone what something looks like. All this requires is eyes (or a lens). Art is supposed to have meaning, emotion, power, or magic. Alan & Mario "FourThirds"

One of your best and I think someone's hand guided you to this spot. Excellent use of light. When you get camera figured out, give me a buzz and tell me what to do. Have a good weekend.
