Well, your background really makes the bird stand out. He does look a little shaken out. lol I'm sure that I'll never catch me a Heron like this. :0)

"Messy" background suits me just fine, and so does the rest so much so I'm keeping it. I think it's a very nice shot!

Magnificent!!

I love that movie. I like the part where the principal goes snooping around Ferris' house. LOL. Great shot of the unkempt heron. It looks kinda funny in this one. We all have days like that.

To this heron, it may be a bad feather day, but to me it is a beautiful natural shot. It looks as though the heron may have just surfaced after a swim - possibly a failed attempt at a fish by the look on his face. The turquoise, yellows, and reds look like reflections in the water, but I can't see anything that might be reflecting unless it is behind the heron or up higher than what we see in the frame. It makes for an interesting shot though. Amazing how they can stand like that for hours and just wait for the fish to come to them.

Love this detailed bird! Especially the gleam in his eye and those wild fluffed feathers. Excellent colors and textures. Saved.
