Great Blue Heron on his afternoon watch looking over his fishing grounds. Different day, different lake....might be the same heron following me around just to play with my head.
Well Paul~you stalk the herons and I stalk the geese(so does Jimbob I suspect~LOL!) Another fine capture. Like the green grassy background, really sets off his blues! Nice job! :)Ami
It is standing proud and tall and thanking you for giving its life meaning. That's what it seems to say. Most likely it would appreciate a few fish a little more. No offense Opie. lol
Another great photo in your heron series. Again very clear.
This is such a good, clear image of him. Paul I just got done voting this one right up there, and your name came to mind when I saw it. It really did! :) =^..^= sandi ♪
A little pea brain head playing with a big guy head. Now thats funny!...lol...A beautiful capture Paul, but I'm wondering too if its the same one...lol

A great shot of the Tri-Colored Heron Paul. I found they usually pretty much stay in the same territory, especially if the fishin's good. Great post
Thanks for sharing
I think it is the same one. I have noticed that other than when mating, they stake a claim to an area. Even if you spook them,if you wait patiently they will often return to the same spot soon. Sweet colors and details. Like Pat said, a bit close on the feet. Maybe try backing off a little then cropping a little after, if you like. The nice details your getting should allow for that.
Another great shot of another beautiful heron. I think it is a different bird - since it is a different lake, although since you did not mention the lakes, they may be very close together. Our herons up here (north of you in Alabama) seem to like having their feet submerged a lot.
