Ohhhh an Oxymoron! I love it. This is pretty, I kind of wish the flowers were a bit sharper, clearer. But I like how you took this photo with the buildings shown in the background, makes one realize flowers can grow anywhere. Thanx so much. Verena
i love walking down broadway and seeing things like this to me even though u didnt show the human side of this street you captured one of the greatests part of it...anything can happen :) nice job!
It's a nice idea but needs more work. Initially the flowers should be Sharp. It's also a horizontal format where everything is Vertical, and the foreground too confusing. Some severe cropping can make it much less busy/crowded, and cloning out the central tree trunk removes a major distraction.
Cropping in form the left border, almost to the tallest flower stalk,Down form the top border to just above the same stalk, and in from the right border to remove all but the two left stalks and the bottom half of the third.
This still makes the same statement/theme but is not so confusing, or sending the viewers eyes bouncing all over the image.
Compliments are still in order for the ability and initiative to see available subject material. Anyone can learn effective composition, but that's not the case in learning to see interesting subject material.
I agree with what snapshooter said about how make it a better Macro shot. But after reading your Title and image comment I like how you got a good clean look of city behind the flower.
