I photographed this female ruby-throated hummingbird some time in August 2005 at Algonquin Park's Mew Lake Prov. Park. She was really territorial as she was chasing all of the other hummers away and keeping all the sugar water for herself. This pic was taken with a Canon Powershot S2IS at a focal length of 45mm, 1/400s and a F3.5 aperture setting.

Not bad stop action for 1/400th. I used to have the S3IS. I bet you're happy with the XTI now. Good choice.
