This pic of graffiti on several protruding rocks at Mikisew Prov. Park (South River, Ont., Canada) was taken Sept. 18, 2007. The tree formations growing around and over the rocks made a great scene to photograph. It's too bad however that some people feel they can degrade nature by writing their names and quotes on rocks and carving into trees. This photo was taken with a Canon Digital Rebel XTI and a Canon EF 28-105mm f/3.5-4.5 II USM lens. It was taken at 1/60s, F/4, ISO 400 and a focal length of 28mm.

Love the capture and the way the roots are creating such great texture to this beautiful shot. It sure is ashame how people don't value other property. Great lighting and colours and definetly composition.

I find it very upsetting when people spoil the beauty of nature with graffiti and litter. Photo editing can often easily remove the unsightly offenses in digital images, but it's much harder to clean up the actual area. I agree that it would be much better if people were more respectful of nature. Thanks for posting an image that makes a powerful statement.

I get a feeling of quiet serenity and the urge to go hiking just looking at this shot. I agree with the previous comments on the graffitti. Thanks for sharing this.
